hair woes

This is hair. This is hair that has been cut. This is hair that has been cut by one of my children from her own head. Yes, it has finally happened. I have fallen victim to children cutting their own hair syndrome. I knew the day would come even though I warned my girls of the consequences.

Oh, the joys of motherhood…sigh. Earlier this week Mimi turned 3! I suppose the above event was an initiation for her. We didn’t make much of a fuss for her big day. A night out for dinner and a birthday cake from Coldstone Creamery ice-cream were all we needed to celebrate. Honestly, I don’t think Mimi would cared whether we had a party for her or not. When receiving a gift from Jakey at lunch earlier that day she looked at Jakey like he was crazy. It’s not that she didn’t love the little, stuffed pony he gave her, but the whole concept of a gift just for her didn’t quite register. I’m sure next year will be a different story.
