flipflops have feelings, too
Mimi will stop at nothing to have a baby. I decided to take all her babies away until she went #2 on the potty. In retaliation she has adopted my flipflop as her new baby. As you can see she has gone as far as to walk it around in a stroller and give it a bottle. I even caught her swaddling it and “shh-ing” it to sleep. I have such a strange child.

Isn’t it cute! Pretty soon it will be all grown up as a high heel! Or a boot!
You really need to glue googly eyes on it.
Funny Mimi! I’m almost hoping it takes her a while to potty train completely so we get more great stories like this.

I shoulda known that our children would be odd with Mike as their father. Of course, I can’t claim complete normalcy either.

Way too funny. She will be a great babysitter and mother!! We just hope she can wait til she’s maybe, 25 or so!! She is so adorable! I hope you treat your shoes better after this. Maybe sing to them before wearing.

OH BETTER IDEA !!! You need to have a baby so she can love it!!! There we go. Problem solved. Imagine how much she would adore that baby!!

Jenni-
I don’t like your last idea so much…
I will, however, make sure to mother my shoes better from now on. Nightly bedtime stories and baths will be part of the routine.
Oh, and Mimi is still carrying around that flipflop everywhere…to the store, to pick up Annie at school, to the bathroom, etc. She slept with it for naptime and bedtime, too.
