our future home…we hope
There are still a few things in the works, but we’re fairly sure this will be our house for the next few years after moving away from D.C. I have numerous requests to see pictures. I wanted to wait until the house was no longer listed on the MLS so that strangers couldn’t see our address and such. Without further ado, here’s our future home:

Nice house!!!!! I especially like that view out a window that looked like a lake???? If this is true, those poor fish don’t know that the “fish terrorist Miguel” is moving into the neighborhood. Oh well, so much for aquatic serenity.

I can’t wait to visit!

It looks like a very beautiful home. I’m sure that with your decorating skills it will be a warm, comfortable home for your family. Now, if that is a lake in back, and there are fish in that lake, I can only guess what tipped the scales in favor of this location and it wouldn’t be for the swimming possibilities.

Yes, we would love any visitors to our new digs. I do wish more people could’ve visited us in D.C., but it is so far east for many. We love that we’ll be so much closer to family now.
VISITORS ARE WELCOME:)

Oh, I forgot to answer the question about our backyard. Sadly, that is not a lake. It’s open land owned by the county or something like that. The good news though is that it will never be built on which means no neighbors to spy on us…LOL.

How lucky to be moving back to the Midwest. I’m so jealous. Each day I dislike the south more and more. Could it be that it is already hot and icky here?

Jenni-
It’s funny because I spent most of my life wanting to get away from the midwest. Fortunately, the navy has allowed us to live in the parts of the country that I so desired, and I realized quickly that I wouldn’t want to reside in those places permanently. As much as I dislike the cold winters, it’s definitely a trade-off when you have whole months in the south where you can’t leave the house due to the intolerable heat. Even Lucy got to a point where she wouldn’t even go outside when we were in SC & NC.

Give me COLD any day! (not a cold). I hate oppressive omnipresent heat.
