sail away…
The past few days have been gorgeous around here. What better way to enjoy the weather than going sailing. That’s exactly what we did yesterday as part of a school activity for Mike and his classmates. The Schooner Woodwind Cruises took us out for a 2-hour trip on a 74-foot schooner. We sailed into the Chesapeake Bay. The guys got to assist, and Mike was even the captain for a bit. It was a great time had by all. And nobody got sea sick either! Afterward we caravaned over to Cantler’s for Maryland blue crabs. Yummy! Take a look at the pictures from our adventure. Remember: captions are below the thumbnails (I can’t figure out how to move them elsewhere.):

In other news, we got the girls bunk beds. Now that Mimi is potty-trained and acting more like a kid than a toddler we figured it was time to get her out of the crib. Plus, some friends needed the crib. It was time. The girls are beside themselves with glee. Of course, there was much debate over who got to be up top, but mom and dad made that decision for them.

SO does Mike want a sailboat now? Or did his turn at captaining fulfill that need? Cute girls on cute bunkbeds! Wish I had a sturdy railing on my bunkbeds when I was a kid. I remember falling out of the top bunk at least twice.

Absolutely. I caught him googling sailboats for sale today. Usually the obsession wears off after a few months. Just last month he was doing the same thing but looking for airplanes:( I just have to have faith that he’ll lose interest.
Poor little Sara! Yes, bunk beds were quite dangerous back during our childhood. I still remember when Jeremy and I were jumping off the top bunk trying to land on top of the toy box across the room. He busted his lip up badly and had to get stitches.
