some suck the heads
Two weekends ago was our 2nd Annual Crawfish Boil. Well, it’s technically the 3rd, but the first was in Beaufort and only the Bells and Hawleys were in attendance at the 1st, so we’ll not count that one. In fact, we just call these the Annual D.C. Crawfish Boils to avoid further confusion.
This year the boil was held at the Bells’ home. It actually turned out to be a perfect day for the event. The girls had lots of kids to wrangle with. They were even brave enough to hold a live crawdad. As usual, I was full early on, but the boys made sure to finish off everything. Of course, Uncle Tiger had to make the 2nd batch very spicy which caused lots o’ tears in grown men’s eyes. Gotta love it! Leah was the gracious host and made sure my sweet tooth was taken care of with about 3-4 desserts from which to choose. Fabulous!

Yes, your girls are brave! Cute picture! I don’t know if I would have held one. Jimmy and Paul and Hayley might have, though.
What does Mike’s shirt say? I can’t read it.

They were quite brave. Actually, Mimi has become quite the bug lover. On Saturday she had 2 caterpillars crawling on her arm for the whole walk home from the park. However, she is still deathly afraid of any flying insects including mosquitoes and gnats but not including butterflies or moths. She’s so buggist.
The shirt says:
Guy on left: “I’ve got a card!”
Man in the middle: “Mine is blank.”
Lady on right: “Cards!”
