last days of d.c.

As I mentioned before I had mixed feelings about leaving D.C. My family was certainly in need of a break from the big city, but we also had to part from many good friends. It is my hope that we will get to see all those great people again soon.

The guys had a roast to attend on my birthday, so Janet and Trang took me out to Guapo’s to celebrate. I had a wonderful time and indulged in good eats. The girls were giddy to get the opportunity to put on the big hat one more time (the grownups, not so much). It was the last hurrah for just the ladies to get together:(

Christopher wanted his turn with the hat, too (or not so much).

Could this mean that Annie will be a good babysitter one day?

The guys then felt left out that they didn’t get to attend the above dinner date. What better way to make that up to them by going to Red Hot & Blue. We met up with the Cheslers and Parks for a feast of ribs. Everyone had a thoroughly good time.

Stay tuned. I’ve got some pictures from Mike’s graduation. Who can resist a man in uniform?

AAACK! Sorry I didn’t send a card for your birthday (my excuse was that I was all-focused on Katie’s grad party). That baby is almost as big as Annie!

No worries, Sara. Just a few more months of therapy, and I’ll be over it…LOL. Really, I was just as preoccupied with our upcoming move that I almost forgot myself. And knowing that I was going to be going out every single other night until our move, I was reluctant to even go out that night. Yes, Brady is quite a large baby. He did start out at almost 10 pounds though.

We have a red hat like that. It is always fun to wear for special occasions. I hope you are liking the quiet lifestyle of Wisconsin!!

Hi, I can’t believe your gone! :( Wish I could have at least given you a hug and good wishes in person. Maybe all of us will take a girls’ weekend and meet in Chicago (Janet and I are packed and the suitcases are at the door, just need to call Trang and entice her with some shopping to get her away from the beach). Anyway, Trav, Charlotte and I are home safe and wish you were here!

    Jenni-
Keep that red hat around because it will come in handy to embarrass your girls when they are older…just kidding. We are thoroughly enjoying the small town life around these parts.

    Kim-
I feel so bad that we never got a chance to see each other one last time before leaving. You were gone for so long; I didn’t know when you’d ever return. My goodness, Charlotte must be staring college by now…ha, ha. I’m totally up for a girls’ trip to Chicago. Anytime!!
